Cube Steak
I have a recipe in a cookbook that calls for cube steak. I have just subsituted the cheap steaks when I make it, but I thought this time, I would actually try cube steak. I have not had cube steak before, at least in my adult years that I remember, and wasn't sure what I would get. (Aho thought it was ground beef...thought I was making spaghetti when I pulled it out and told me he wasn't hungry!) It was very good! I was pleasantly surprised. James liked it to, despite his not feeling well (another blog...). I think I will cook it again, and would recommend it to everyone!

There is a yummy recipe in the diabetic book you got for all of us with cube steak. Is that what you made? We do it all the time and it is a favorite of ours.
so, what is cube steak, melby? honestly haven't heard of it.
Yeah, I love cube steak!...my fav is to coat it & fry it (chicken fried steaks--aka country fried steak)...you know, if you find a way that you really like to make it, I do have a recipe blog you could add it on ;) :)
(Oh, & that's funny about the spagetti...the only way I can get Nase to eat spagetti is if I make a bunch of yummy meatballs to go with it--he's so spoiled--lol)
I used to buy cube steak all the time; haven't done it recently. Maybe I'll have to try it out again.
