Tonga

There is so much to say, but who wants to read it. Basically, we had a great time. We didn't have to lift a finger. Aho's mom said we were on vacation, so we didn't have to do anything. It was fabulous, so relaxing. We got to go see all the sites, go to the beach, have great food, fly 7 flights (in which James was fabulous), enjoy a 10 hour layover in Fiji on the way back (we spent some time driving around, we should have picked up a tour for the day, I think we would have enjoyed it a littl more). We got to spend time with and get to know Aho's family. They are great, and I miss them. We had a wonderful time. A few people have asked me, could I live there? I told Aho I could, as long as I have an air conditioner. It was super hot. Aho said he prefered the cold and snow to that hot and humid! A few pics to show how much we enjoyed ourselves: Pretty beach
Align CenterWhat a beautiful background...This is in Fiji somewhere (we got more mosquito bites during these few minutes than the whole two weeks in Tonga!) Fijian cowboy offering James a ride Blowholes...could I be any fatter? Family pictures...could I get a smile for 200 Alex, please?

Not anytime soon. There is no way I would be pregnant there. So, when we are done having our kids, then we move.

Mom would kill you.

I'm not saying we will move, I am just saying, I could live there.

funny you were in tonga the same time i was. I was in Vavau the whole time. we stayed only a short while in tongatapu to switch planes. And yeah, I did the whole being pregnate thing there. The hardest part of my life so far. especially when you are sick and only get one thing to chose from when it comes to eating. I think I could do it again, but I don't want to. we plan on moving back after all the kidies are born! oh yeah and the challenge i think is for all employees who have deseret mutual. I don't work for BYUH I work for the CPB entity of the church under facility management. I'm sure most of the churches entities use Deseret Mutual for insurances etc.

OMG...so fun! Sione is on a kick to move there right now. Part of me is like "Yes! Let's go!" and part of me is "Um, no." We shall see. Love the pics; thanks for posting them!

Kim, I think you need to go there first, before you say yes. I said no way before, but now I know I could do it, IF I had to.

That's so cool--looks like you had a wonderful time!...Leka was enthraled with your pictures--She really wants to go to Tonga!...I'm waiting for my turn to visit still.
--Nase's been wanting to go there for a year or two...I think I might be able to do one year if we lived in a decent apartment at Liahona or somethig (even Oahu was too small for me & I think I'd get cabin/island fever after too long in Tonga) -Is it being pregnant that's scary there or giving birth in the hospitals?...I hear they're like 50 years behind the times. :-0
-Anyway, not like we're actually planning on it...but hey, if you all go for a year maybe we'll hop on board ;) haha
